GARAGE DOOR REFINISHING
We strip, sand and stain garage door(s) on the first day. The doors are refinished without removal and may be used immediately after our departure, each day.
The surrounding trim is carefully masked and the exterior hardware and bottom weatherstrip are removed. Interior bolts are tightened.
After chemically stripping, we machine and hand sand the wood before applying two wet coats of Sikkens stain.
We pride ourselves on a thorough cleanup and all debris is promptly removed from the work site.
Three coats of Sikkens tinted or clear sealers are later applied, each drying overnight to a satin finish.
On the final day, a new bottom weather strip is installed and the surrounding trim is repainted. We adjust the travel and tension of the garage door opener to ensure the best seal possible.
